Dr. Shanna Turner

Dr. Shanna Turner was born and raised in Florence, Mississippi. During her childhood she developed a passion for caring for her family animals including dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, and the family pig, Sadie. She began volunteering at her local veterinary clinic during high school, and she has remained solely committed to the veterinary profession since 2006.

Dr. Turner graduated in 2012 from Mississippi College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She attended veterinary school in her home state at Mississippi State University where she obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2016. After graduation, she spent a year working in Mississippi at a small animal practice and an emergency hospital. In 2017 she moved to Colorado Springs where she practiced until 2022.

Dr. Turner moved to Tennessee in 2022 where she has been practicing since. She resides in Rutherford County with her husband and their two dogs— a chihuahua mix named Bandit and a Shih Tzu named Waylon. During her free time, she enjoys nature walks, painting, picking up new hobbies like ice skating, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Turner’s special interests include soft tissue surgery and dentistry. She loves caring for her patients and clients with kindness and compassion as if they were her own.
